Crew on America II at the World Championships

Many of you have taken advantage of the opportunity to sail on the Club’s Flagship, "America II" here in NY Harbor. This is a new program this summer and lets you experience our 12 Meter, an incredible sailing machine and our club flagship.
Now there is the fantastic opportunity to race on America II in the 12 Meter Class "Golden Year of Racing."
The Golden Year is a celebration of 50 years of 12 meter racing in the America's Cup. Entries from all over the world are expected to descend on Newport in July and September to compete.
This presents a unique opportunity for members to crew on America II in a large 12 Meter regatta!
We shall be taking America II to Newport for the World Championships from September 22-26. Positions are available on America II for both the delivery and the race. The charge being based on covering the costs associated with entering.
The
opportunities are as follows:
1) Delivery Crew Up to Newport, $300 per person (includes a 12 Meter shirt)
New York to Newport, 3 days, Saturday, Sep. 19 to Monday Sep. 21. Planned stops in Bridgeport and Mystic. Entry fees do not include cost of accommodations & food.

2) World Championship Regatta Experience, $2,200 per person for 4 days or $1,300 per person for 2 days
4 days of racing: September 23, 24, 25 & 26. Cost is $2,200 for all 4 days (includes free 12M shirt and 2 x training days). Or $1,300 for 2 days (plus 2 days of training). Race slots should be applied for below and we will select the best applicants.
