Day 5 - Foxy's & Jost Van Dyke

Day 5 was The Great Race, a pilgramage to Foxy's on Jost Van Dyke. This long
downwind sail started with the flagship motoring through the mooring field at Anegada to
wake to sleeping sailors. Then all boats got the starting line and the race was off.
The J/120s popped their spinnakers and pulled out ahead. Danielle's boat had
a close encounter with 3 humpback whales who dove under their keel at the last second.
By late afternoon, many sailors had gathered at the bar while Foxy himself
perfomred a few tunes on the guitar while Zander and Margot cut up the sand. That
evening, the MYC flag was stapled to the ceiling and the crowd continued their celebratory
ways. The evening was presided over by Quenn Danielle and De Foxy Mon Race Winner,
Jean Yves Noblet (that is the first race of the summer series). Results of the
treasure hunt were announced and who knows what else happened.
