De MYC Caribbean Regatta 2001
February 2001 and 12 boats of club members and guests traveled to the British Virgin Islands. It was a flotilla of 70 wild and crazy sailors. By mid-week, the coconut telegraph was announcing our arrival to the next harbor. Everyone was turning out for some of the greatest parties ever seen in the BVIs. Here's the report from our somewhat trusty scribe, "My, oh my, oh my. For obvious reasons, we've had to edit out the more revealing photographs. Who knew, when we first envisioned De MYC Caribbean Regatta, that this would have happened. But for whatever magical reason, it did. And here is a bit of the story, although all of the really, really good parts had to be left out. We have tried to group pictures according to the days but some might be off a bit. Please suggest any corrections. Also, there are a lot more good pictures out there so if you can, get them digitized and send them to mike@myc.org. Thank you to all the members who participated in this inaugural event. We will do it again in 2 years (Feb. 2003)!"
