To join the Manhattan Yacht Club, complete this application below. Upon receipt of your Membership Application & Agreement, your credit card will be charged:

the $250 initiation fee
the first dues installment
the annual assessment

The billing for your first years dues is explained on the membership information page. Your membership starts once these initial payments are received by the Club. You will get email confirmation from QuickBooks, usually within 4 to 5 days of your application.

Once your membership starts, it remains active until you resign. All fees paid to the club are non-refundable and dues are automatically charged until you resign.

Upon receipt of your Membership Application & Agreement, your credit card will be charged the $250 initiation, first dues installment and annual assessment. The billing for your first years dues are explained on the membership information page. Your membership starts once these initial payments are received by the Club. All fees paid to the club are non-refundable and dues are automatically charged until you resign.

The initiation fee is $250. Regular dues are $1,800 per year and billed in quarterly installments. All dues and initiation fees are non-refundable once charged by the club. Dues for Juniors & Seniors are 50% off. Each year there is also a $100 assessment to support a special project at the Club. This assessment is charged to your member account at the same time as your initiation fee. Dues for your first year are pro-rated based on the sailing season. If you join from January through May, you pay normal dues. If you join in June, you pay 5/6 the annual dues. In July, you pay 4/6, August is 3/6, September is 2/6 and October is 1/6.

Terms of Membership

1. Contribution, Rules & Code of Conduct - I understand that the Club is giving me an opportunity to become part of the MYC sailing community. I agree to give back to this community through volunteer work and supporting and promoting the Club. I agree to abide by all Club Rules which are in effect at any time. I agree to conduct myself in a Corinthian and sportsmanlike manner at all times at the Club and around fellow club Members.

2. Insurance Waiver & Agreement Not to Sue - I understand that sailing is a sport which involves risk such as injury, loss or damage. I understand that I share the responsibility for safety and agree to practice safe boating. I agree to properly wear a lifejacket whenever on a club boat away from dock. I agree not to sue Manhattan Yacht Club Inc. as well as other Members and agree to hold harmless all Members, Manhattan Yacht Club, Inc., and their agents, officers and employees from all claims of injury to person or property arising from my participation in activities through Manhattan Yacht Club.

3) Term of Membership & Dues: I understand that my Membership begins on the date specified in this application and continues until ended by the club, or I resign in writing to the club office at office@myc.org.

4. Payment of Dues & Other Charges: I understand that dues and other Club charges are paid by credit card left on file with the Club office. I authorize the Club to charge the card I leave on file. I agree to pay all dues billed prior to when I resign. I understand that all dues and initiations fee are non-refundable once charged by the club.
