Manhattan Yacht Club has a very active and exciting racing culture.
Our core philosophy is “camaraderie ahead of competition.” This creates one of the most unique and enjoyable racing environments you will ever experience at a yacht club.
The club offers and opportunity for all members to learn about racing, expand their skills and knowledge, and then race throughout the sailing season.
The main programs for members are the Tuesday and Wednesday evening racing series. Member J/24 Racing
On Thursdays, there is the Corporate Sailing League Corporate Sailing League
For fun, try the Lucky Dog Races on Friday afternoons. Lucky Dog Races
During the winter, there is a Frostbite Racing series on Sunfish dinghies – Frostbite Racing
And the club occasionally organizes international regattas like the Lady Liberty Regatta and the International Yacht Club Challenge
To get an idea of what J/24 racing is like at the club, you can watch a full Wednesday evening race from the stern pulpit of Boat #6.
