Membership Application & Agreement

If you have any questions about the club and how it works, or wish to see the facilities, please email office@myc.org before applying for membership.

Once you are ready to join, please complete this form below. Upon receipt of your Membership Application & Agreement, you will be charged the $250 initiation and receive a receipt by email from QuickBooks. This initiation fee is non-refundable in case you do not follow through with membership.

In your application, you will select the date you wish your membership to begin as well as an “Orientation Meeting” date. The Membership Orientations are held every Thursday evening at 7 pm on the Honorable William Wall and every other Saturday at 6 pm at the club. If you join during the winter, your membership will begin when you specify and then you can do your Membership Orientation as soon as the season gets underway. New Member Orientation Meetings

The date you begin your membership will determine your first year dues which are pro-rated based on the sailing season. The billing installments for your first years dues are explained on the membership information page.

    1. Contribution, Rules & Code of Conduct - I understand that the Club is giving me an opportunity to become part of the MYC sailing community. I agree to give back to this community through volunteer work and supporting and promoting the Club. I agree to abide by all Club Rules which are in effect at any time. I agree to conduct myself in a Corinthian and sportsmanlike manner at all times at the Club and around fellow club Members.

    2. Insurance Waiver & Agreement Not to Sue - I understand that sailing is a sport which involves risk such as injury, loss or damage. I understand that I share the responsibility for safety and agree to practice safe boating. I agree to properly wear a lifejacket whenever on a club boat away from dock. I agree not to sue Manhattan Yacht Club Inc. as well as other Members and agree to hold harmless all Members, Manhattan Yacht Club, Inc., and their agents, officers and employees from all claims of injury to person or property arising from my participation in activities through Manhattan Yacht Club.

    3) Term of Membership & Dues: I understand that my Membership begins on the date specified in this application and continues until ended by the club, or I resign in writing to the club office at office@myc.org.

    4. Payment of Dues & Other Charges: I understand that dues and other Club charges are paid by credit card left on file with the Club office. I authorize the Club to charge the card I leave on file. I agree to pay all dues billed prior to when I resign. I understand that all dues and initiations fee are non-refundable once charged by the club.
