Each J/24 racing team is required to assist RC once per season by providing 2 or more people to ride on Greyhound to help the Race Manager with setting and retrieving marks. This year, the requirement is to do your volunteer day in the spring or summer series. So that you do not miss racing, teams assist the RC on the opposite night. If you race on Tuesday, you do race committee on a Wednesday. Of course this never happens, but if a team fails to show for RC duty, they may not be allowed to race the following week and they will be reassigned their RC duty.
If the week you are assigned is not convenient, you may contact other teams to arrange to switch a date. If you do this, just let the office know at office@myc.org
