The International Yacht Club Challenge is a regatta between yacht clubs held in New York Harbor in front of the skyline of Manhattan. The purpose of the event is to “generate international goodwill through friendly competition.”
This is an amateur competition designed for yacht club sailors. The first Challenge was held in 1988.
The 11th edition of the International Yacht Club Challenge took place in August 2017.
The Challenge is organized by the New York Harbor Sailing Foundation and hosted by the Manhattan Yacht Club.
